Paravius Moorlands

The Moorlands are a place of death and sickness. Heavy marshes and swamps are excellent incubators for bacteria and mosquitoes, and murky pools house shadow monsters. Cypress trees yield large thickets and coves, perfect for shelter against the driving rain. You need to be on the alert almost always, as the land holds carnivorous monsters and beasts within its tangles and miles of swampland. It is dangerous for any mare or foal, as one minor mistake could cost their lives. Whatever you do, don’t go swimming. The water is too deep and you cannot see past your own feet, making you an easy target for alligators lurking beneath the surface.
